BLACK BAKED ON EPOXY
Our cold-rolled steel inlays and supports are first degreased, sandblasted, milled, then finished with a baked-on epoxy. Cold-rolled steel is an imperfect material which exhibits natural pits and changes in density. This is an extruded product, not a cast element. The innate properties of the cold-rolled steel are not defects, simply natural characteristics.
This finish needs only be Windexed periodically to remove finger prints and is, otherwise, virtually maintenance free.
Because both metal densities and methods for obtaining the various metal finishes vary, the metal finishes produced for your order may vary from the images shown here and from floor samples and metal samples.
